This page lists symptoms you might see on your DEX or in the console. Each entry names the cause and the fix. Sections group symptoms by area.
Your DEX
Visitors see not found
Cause: One of these:
- Your DEX is paused after 30 days without traffic on Starter.
- Your DEX was decommissioned after 90 days paused.
- A custom domain’s CNAME record does not point at Floatout yet.
- A page is disabled under Storefront > Navigation.
Fix: Use Resume in the console if your DEX is paused. Point the CNAME record at Floatout if you use a custom domain. Enable the page under Storefront > Navigation if you disabled it.
A change is not visible
Cause: Publishing takes about a minute.
Fix: Reload the page. Check that the console shows the change as published.
The footer shows Powered by Floatout
Cause: Your DEX is on Starter.
Fix: Activate earnings to remove the label.
A logo did not change
Cause: An upload alone changes nothing on your DEX.
Fix: Publish the change with a signature, or with a fast-edit grant.
A media upload was rejected
Cause: The file format is not supported, or the file is over the size limit, or your workspace already holds 250 MB of media.
Fix: Use PNG, WebP, or JPEG under 5 MB for images. Use MP4 or WebM under 30 MB for video. Remove unused media to free space.
Console and wallet
Asked to sign in again
Cause: Your session lasts 7 days. It expires after that period.
Fix: Sign in again with your owner wallet.
The connected wallet is not the owner wallet
Cause: A different wallet is connected in your browser.
Fix: Switch to the owner wallet. Only the owner wallet can change your DEX or pay for activation.
A wallet prompt appears for a cosmetic change
Cause: No fast-edit grant is active, or the grant expired.
Fix: Sign the grant in the dialog.
No prompt appears and the change publishes
Cause: A fast-edit grant is active for this browser.
Fix: Revoke the grant from the wallet menu in the sidebar if you did not expect it.
Fees
Traders pay less than the configured fee
Cause: Your DEX charges the lower of your fee and the trader’s approved maximum.
Fix: The trader approves your new fee on their next visit after you raise it.
Cannot save a fee
Cause: The fee is above Hyperliquid’s cap: 0.1% (10 bp) for perps, 1% (100 bp) for outcome markets. Or your DEX is on Starter, where fees are fixed.
Fix: Lower the fee under the cap. Activate earnings if you need to set your own fee.
Traders see a fee approval prompt after activation
Cause: Your builder code changed at activation.
Fix: Each trader approves the new builder code once, then trades as before.
Activation
Payment is refused
Cause: The payer wallet is not the owner wallet.
Fix: Pay from the owner wallet.
The page reloaded during deployment
Cause: The browser reloaded while the deployment pipeline was running.
Fix: Open Activate earnings again. The pipeline resumes where it left off.
Cannot create a third DEX
Cause: Starter currently allows 2 DEXes per wallet.
Fix: Activate one of your existing DEXes, or contact hello@floatout.xyz.
Claims
Nothing is claimable yet
Cause: Your accrual is not yet included in a published root.
Fix: Wait for the next root. Floatout publishes roots periodically. Claimable is published minus claimed.
A claim does not show in Withdrawals
Cause: The claim was submitted recently.
Fix: Wait a minute and check again.
The claim service is not available
Cause: A temporary issue with the claim service.
Fix: Try again later. Contact hello@floatout.xyz if the problem continues.
Custom domains
The domain stays pending
Cause: The CNAME record has not propagated yet, or the certificate validation records are missing.
Fix: Check both records at your DNS provider. Then use Refresh in the console. DNS changes can take time to propagate at your provider.
The domain stopped working
Cause: The CNAME record was removed at your DNS provider, or the domain was removed in the console.
Fix: Re-add the CNAME record, or re-add the domain in the console.
Restrictions
I am blocked from my own DEX
Cause: Your country is on your DEX’s blocked list.
Fix: Add your IP address to the allowlist.
A blocked visitor still gets through
Cause: The block was published less than a minute ago, or the visitor uses a VPN. The country signal follows the visitor’s network, not their location.
Fix: Check that the console shows the restriction as published. A VPN can still change which country a visitor’s network reports.
Names
The name is taken
Cause: Names are unique across Floatout. A decommissioned name stays reserved to its owner wallet for 90 days.
Fix: Choose a different name. A decommissioned name becomes available to other wallets after the 90-day reservation ends.
