Your DEX has a permanent address. You can add a domain you own on top of it, under DEX config > Domain in the console. This page covers the platform address, the steps to add a domain, and how to remove one.
Platform address
Floatout always serves your DEX at <slug>.floatout.trade. The slug and the network are frozen and do not change after you create your DEX. A custom domain is an alias on top of this address. It never replaces the platform address. <slug>.floatout.trade stays reachable for visitors after you add a domain, and it stays reachable if you remove the domain later. You do not need a custom domain to run your DEX.
Add the hostname
Open DEX config > Domain in the console and enter the hostname. Sign the addition with your owner wallet.
Point DNS
The console shows a CNAME record for your hostname. Create this record at your DNS provider.
Validate the certificate
The console shows certificate validation records for your hostname. Add these records at your DNS provider as well.
Refresh and check
Use Refresh in the console. The console checks DNS and certificate state live. The domain goes live once DNS points at Floatout and the certificate is issued. This takes about 90 seconds.
Removing a domain
Remove the CNAME record at your DNS provider to stop the domain at any time. You can also remove the domain in the console. This needs a signature from your owner wallet. Either method stops serving the domain within about 90 seconds. Your DEX stays live at <slug>.floatout.trade throughout.

- A hostname is live on one DEX at a time.
- Your DNS records stay under your control at all times.
- Adding or removing a domain in the console always needs a wallet signature from your owner wallet.
